Cash App began as a peer-to-peer payment platform and now has a full suite of financial products—debit cards, stocks, bitcoin, and more. This new customer onboarding series was Cash App’s inaugural foray into marketing emails. I wanted copy skimmable and direct, with a clear call to action to drive product adoption. The campaign had an average open rate of 50% and click rate of 9%—not too shabby for a debut, but I might be biased.
